Nobody has thought to peer
To where I am, way down here
All alone, I just fall
Faces flashing on the wall
Eyes closed, mouths shut.
They smile as I go down
None of them want to help, none to frown
So, to make it seem like I’m fine
I must hide all my cryin’
Behind a huge mask.
But it has destroyed me inside
So in this poem I must confide
What they will never know
What it’s like to fall below
All they see.
But if I could, before I die
I would like to fly
Is it just too much to ask
That I may take off my maskAnd show all the others what I feel

What Do You See?
If you put down your shield To look around You might see what others In you have found The shield that you have Been using as a mask Have you ever taken It off to ask Others who are Like me What it is that We see? I see not just a girl But a young woman Someone who has a lot of people As her biggest fan. You see the world Through a little eye hole Instead of taking off your mask and Viewing the world as a whole You look ahead And think it’s an army you lack You think you’ll be swept away If they attack But if you look behind You will see More people then you have ever Thought there would be We will support you Through thick and thin Through all your good and All your sin |

Insert Title Here
I had just hit the bottom with a thud When you picked me up out of the mud When I thought that I was down for good You picked me up, like I thought you would You took the frown from my face And put a smile in its place This poem is just a small token From a young guy who once was broken You have made me so happy And I hope this poem isn’t too sappy There is no greater gift then your love And also happiness from above. |

Living Dead
| Walking around (like a zombie) With no thought in my head I’m scaring off my mommy ‘Cause I’m the living dead. Sitting up slowly With my arms straight out in front I’m walking very slowly Like a mummy on the hunt. Banging down the doors With eyes on fire. I’m crawling on all fours And revenge is my desire |
Lost Stuff
The love that is lost in the past The kind of love that will last Through all of the eternity And is hauntingly close by. A good friend that is gone away May not be back another day There’s a chance you’ll never see them again That’s what you’re parents may condemn. Next there is hope that is all gone The type that everyone likes to fawn. Its hope that is lost by tragedy, Hope that will start out joyously. Lost peace is one always around. It’s always lost but never found. It will never be grasped until God has finished His divine Will. All that is lost cannot be found Until Jesus Christ has been crowned All that is lost will come right back And there is nothing we will lack. |
Statuesque
| As I carved I thought of how The experiences of then Can affect the character of now The first ride On the rollercoaster The first visit To the doctor From the first love To the first kiss To remember it all Is such bliss All these experiences Chip at the stone of life From good times to bad times To times of sheer strife So as I carved the statue And sat there and thought Of things to come And those that may not |

Poem for Heroes
| As shells screamed in the sky And machine guns chatter around The soldiers stare with lifeless eyes At the unworried birds that overhead fly Singing shrilly. As soldiers run To death that will come No matter what. They fight under light of sun And moon. The soldiers who fought for us And gave us our freedom I am glad that I Can honor them thus With poetry. |
